RoboSockets Review

RobotSockets is a falling puzzle game that is similar to both Tetris and Pipe Mania.  It is the kind of game to get you playing not just for a mere five minutes but hours on end. RoboSockets is addictive, challenging and aesthetically pleasing.

There is a story but it is rather light, the premise is simple: Robot heads fall from the sky and you must join them via connectors on the sides of their heads.  Once a row of five or more is created they explode and increase your score meter, placing you one more step towards finishing your current level.

The game, as you would expect, becomes more challenging as the levels progress. The robots have less connectors and special components are introduced, such as bolts that cannot be removed or connected, or a random crate, that acts as an unknown robot until you place it. These additions keep the gamer on their toes and make for a nice gentle learning curve.

RoboSockets also boasts a Time-Attack mode and GameCenter achievements that increase the games lifespan.    Overall for 99 cents this is a must for puzzle gamers that are a fan of the genre, you cannot really go wrong here.
