Falling Fred Review

Falling Fred uses incredibly responsive tilt controls, enabling the player to guide their screaming cartoon chap through a shaft, which consists of various horrible obstacles.  It is the players aim to guide Fred through the shaft and fall as far as they can, before inevitably splattering their character across one of the obstacles, in a gory display.

The brutality in the game sets it aside from most other games.  As your character loses his teeth, gets black eyes and has his limbs lopped off, he often still continues his pursuit downwards alive.  The game is satisfying and intense.  Every couple of weeks something new is added, either a character or an obstacle to keep you on your toes and makes sure the game stays fresh.

Falling Fred is a great game, what holds it back is that there is only one playable level.  The shaft does get a bit boring after some time and the game somtimes seems to suffer with long loading times.

Overall Falling Fred is a winner, it is fun, addictive and has more content added every month.  With a different series of maps this would have got a 5/5 but now it sits at a 4.
