Syd Sym's Sweet Symmetry

Syd Sym's Sweet Symmetry is a cute puzzle game app about sorting sweets in a sweet shop to make different combos.  Like most shift puzzle games, Syd Sym's Sweet Symmetry is bright and appealing to the eye.  However unlike a lot of puzzle games that come to the iphone, there is a hidden depth and an almost endless multitude of sweet combos to discover, along with 30 basic formations, which can be viewed in the combo section when discovered.

The game, as the title suggests involves making patterns through symmetry.  When the game starts sweets randomly fall into the chocolate box. As the game progresses the shop gets larger and the sweet placement gets faster, until inevitably your box is full of sweets, ending the level.  In each level you must attain a certain score in order to progress onto the next one.  As the game progresses the number of points the player needs to progress is increased making the game become more and more frantic.

The one drawback of the game is that it is fairly easy to begin with and does not present much of a challenge until a fair amount of time is invested in it.  When Syd Sym's Sweet Symmetry reaches these harder stages it takes a huge curve and becomes a very different game, with frantic placements and sets the bar much higher, almost as if the first 15 levels are simply a training ground for the real game.

The game is simple, bright and highly addictive, while it may not be for the hardcore gamer, it will certainly entertain and is perfect for killing some time.

Syd Sym's Sweet Symmetry is well worth a try if you are into puzzle games.  It is available in a light, free version with adverts or for £1.99 without the added distraction.
