Global War, O.G, iMob and more

Addmired.inc have made eight apps in just over a year.  Every one of these apps uses a similar formula, each one is basically the same game as the last, just with a different theme.

Every game in the series is free to download and all host in-app purchases, enabling the player to speed up their improvements.  They are all social games, which benefit from basic social interaction, but boast a single player experience.

In every game there is a customization option that allows the player to raise the stats of their character/army/mob.  During the leveling up process, they gain access to more missions and items to help bolster your statistics and the chance of beating other players.

All of the games have a pretty complex front and little is explained, however after a few levels you learn the ropes.  You complete to earn money and experience, which costs energy.  The experience levels you up and the money helps kit out your account, with items or investment.

Even though all of this hints at a solo campaign, each game hits a wall in which you must either spend real money in order to upgrade or connect with loads of people online.

All of them require you to have an internet connection to play and none can be played offline.

They are all management games at heart and have little action or deep strategy, however if this is your type of game, it is easy to sink hours and hours of your time into it.

Now I shall review all eight games from the best to the last in a small summary.

Original Gangstaz - 3/5
Original Gangstaz is by far the strongest app out of the bunch and also the most recent.  It allows you to have the most customisation and easily links you with other players, with little to no interaction.  (if prefered) This allows you to have a solo experience despite it being a mainly multiplayer game.

If you can get past the over the top, 90's gangster cheese and you like this type of game, it is the best that Addmired.inc have to offer.

Global War - 3/5
Global War is almost identical to Original Gangstaz, except that it is a little more confusing and less obvious, even to the more seasoned player.  The option titles are sometimes not what you would expect, making the learning curve slightly longer.

The whole squad balance in Global War seems irrelevant as well.  If you are supposed to be commanding an army, how do you only have a squad of two?  This of course refers to the amount of real life players you are teamed up with, however it could have been called something like "forces", making the concept gel together better.

Despite some confusing terminologies and a bit of confusion at first the game is just as good as Original gangstaz.  So if you prefer the military instead of 90's gangster hoodies, then this is your game.

Race or Die - 2/5
Lacking the finesse of the other two games, Race or Die provided the new interface which, Original Gangstaz and Global War were spawned from.  Despite the games riveting title the only racing you will do is at the click of a button.  As tantalising as it may be, the system seems to fit the gang/army theme much better.

When you play a racing game, you expect to race, not be managing crimes and street races from your ipod in the form of text.  The customisation is somewhat lacking and the game lacks a decent solo player mode.

iMob - 2/5
The first game that Addmired.inc produced and the mother that spawned all of its copy cats.  The system was already common place when this app was released.  It offered nothing new when it came out and fails to entertain much now.

In this app you run a mob and try to rise through the criminal underground, starting with petty crimes and then eventually owning chunks of the city, as your criminal empire expands.

Jet Fighters - 1/5
iKnights - 1/5
Girl Wars - 1/5
iVampires - 1/5
All of the above are cheap lazy copies of iMob, very little effort has gone into making them.  Graphically the games are poor and they also lack the finesse and smoothness of the other games. They are not worth the investment of time or effort.
