Swipe Tap Tap Review

SwipeTapTap is the best reaction game on the iOS market place to date.  The game is hard and it just gets harder, yet despite, the challenge it remains consistently fun.  The premise of the game is simple, much like a classic game of Simon Says you have to preform the gestures, as they appear on the screen. However unlike most games of this genre on the app marketplace, SwipeTapTap has a huge number of levels, nine gestures and four modes of play.

I have had the game since release and am still not sick of it yet.  It isn't long before the game gets crazy and as the levels progress they become ever so close to impossible, making passing them feel all the richer.

The first of the four modes is Classic.  In classic a line of symbols gradually move across the screen.  To win you must preform all of the actions before any symbol hits the edge, otherwise it is game over.  Classic mode is by far the most intense with the progression getting closer and closer, it feels like failure is always near.  Endurance is a far more intense version of this Classic mode, in which there is infinite symbols, where the objective is to progress as far as you can before the symbols overcome you.

Memory is the third mode, symbols flash on the screen and after the sequence is complete you must repeat it in the same order.  As you get more answers right more symbols get added until your inevitable failure.

In the final mode you have a time limit in order to preform as many actions as possible that appear on the screen, before it runs out.

Before the first game it is wise to play the tutorial to see what you need to do, it portrays everything slowly and easily to let the player take the game in at their own pace, allowing them to play it for as long as they like until they are used to it.

Overall these modes there is potential for hours of play time, if you are a fan of this genre or looking for something a bit different to what else is out there, then SwipeTapTap is a must buy.  You can also play it along to your own iPod music and post scores on Facebook , if that appeals to you.

SwipeTapTap is an addictive and challenging game that will increase your reaction-time tenfold 5/5
