Invisible Runner Review

Invisible Runner is a simple platformer with a twist, your character is invisible.  You can briefly make him visible by collecting black orbs on the screen, allowing you to judge distance and jumps briefly before he turns invisible once again.   Being invisible is not as hard as it sounds.  The points of visibility are often and it is fairly easy to work out where you are.  The challenges come where they would come in any other platformer, the hazards and the pitfalls.

There is no story in Invisible Runner it is a case of simply moving from one side to the other.  There are 30 levels within the game, each new one typically harder than the ones before it.

The games controls are fairly standard for that of an ipod game.  The screen has two arrows on the right, for left and right movement and one on the left that acts as a jump.    Also to make platforming even easier there is a zoom bar so that you can magnify the levels as much or as little as you desire.

Invisible Runners visual style is very minimal and rather nightmarish and oppressive, very reminiscent of Braid in feeling.  Everything seems very hostile yet he player has no reason to feel that way.

Overall if you like your puzzle platformers, give Invisible Runner a download, as it does deliver and it is addictive.
