Fingerzilla Review

Fingerzilla is at present, one of the Apps of the Day today on FAAD.

Your finger, (as suggested in the title) is now a city crushing monster and you must use it to the best of your ability to obliterate, the well rendered pixel cities within the ipod.

The game consists of you using your finger to crush as many buildings as possible by pressing your finger repeatedly into the screen.  You touch buildings, people, cars and even tanks to create as much devastation as possible, creating fires and leaving a path of devastation in your wake.

The greater the chaos you create, the bigger your points increase.  The app is great fun but after a while it does get very similar and a tad boring.  It is a huge success in the sense it is a novel idea and very entertaining, but where the game fails is its inability to hold the players attention for a long period of time.

The graphics are well rendered, giving Fingerzilla a nice retro look, similar to that of the old Sim City Series.  At the end of each level a news paper comes on screen showing the report of devastation, which is both cute and mildy amusing.

Fingerzilla is worth a download for the amusement factor and unique concept, even if it is only for a brief try.  Supported by both Gamecenter and OpenFeint it may keep you going for a bit longer than anticipated if your are into collecting achievements.
